{Bali} Part 1…

Apologies for the huge break! My computer charger hookup thing needed repair so my computer has been at Apple for the past few days ever since I got home. Just brought her home, good as new! Moving on:

After 34 hours of travel (Louisville to Chicago, to London, to Bangkok, to Bali) I was more than excited to set foot on this island in Indonesia. Here are a few of the photos from the first couple days. A huge thanks to the Padma Resort Bali for hosting our Summit and for the spectacular service while we were there!

We’re having a really good time in Bali…

The TRX Summit is over (more on that when I have a better internet connection) and we are now on to the 2nd half of this mission: relaxation. We’ve been far too busy alternating playing in the water, napping in the sun, and reading in the hammock to do any blog posts, so this is all I got at the moment. #sorrynotsorry

We arrived two days ago, to our second destination, just in time for the epic sunset. I set the camera timer to just keep taking shots since it took a moment to get across the jagged rocks…

Off to Bali!

Bali2

I’m headed out today to Bali, Indonesia for our annual 3-day TRX Instructor’s Summit. It’s like a giant fitness retreat with my TRX family from all over the world. We’ve got 27 countries being represented at this year’s summit and I couldn’t be more stoked to see everybody there, including my man-friend! We’ll have 3 days at the summit and then another 5 days to ourselves, which I’m looking forward to immensely. Hello hammock on the beach! Peace out cell phone & email inbox!

I’m not as stoked about the 34 hours of travel to get there, but I’m trying to look past that. I’ve got my books on my kindle, I’ve got my work that needs to be finished, I’ve got free wine to look forward to on the plane. Here I go! Back in two weeks!

Friday’s Letters theme by Ashley S.

Dear TRX Bootcampers, I’m so stoked about finishing another session. Y’all are beasts!

Dear Susan and Justine, I’m glad there was so much team work involved in getting that bottle opened at the Wine Down last night. ; )

5 Quirks…

quirk: noun – a peculiar behavioral habit

a&amono_024 - Version 2

We all have quirks… I usually don’t realize certain things I do are out of the ordinary until somebody points it out to me. Here are a few that I have, that have been brought to my attention over the years.

1) I eat my food one item at a time.

People get mad at this one sometimes. I have never really thought much about it. It’s not that I can’t eat a bite of this, then a bite of that, I just like to experience the full flavor of one part of the dish before moving on to something else. If I have a bite of steak, then have a bite of asparagus, when I go back to the steak then the taste is slightly less than it was before because now I have asparagus flavor on my tongue, getting in the way. I prefer for my foods’ tastes to not mask each other.  — This doesn’t apply with Mexican food, where it tastes good because it’s all smooshed together. I’m not sure why it’s different. It just is.
