Outfit Post… seriously.

Need another reason to like Lululemon ish?
(I need another reason like a need a hole in my head).

This running top (that I just bought)
Plus these yoga/workout/running pants (that I’ve had for a while)
equals this cute-ass outfit that I’m wearing to travel to Philly in today.
Cute. Comfy. Bam.

*Churchill’s not impressed, but I think I look good.

Salutation Nation!

I’m completely and utterly excited that a Lululemon is going to be opening in the Ville soon! Yesssss. Not only do they have amazingly flattering fitness clothing, but they do a ton in the community as well. The company hosts a variety of complimentary classes throughout the year, but they also do Salutation Nation, a once yearly, country-wide yoga class that happens on Saturday, at 9am. So people are gettin’ their down dogs on all over the place, simultaneously. I don’t mean that in the dirty way it sounded… or maybe I do…

This was us at 9am today!

Namaste, bitches!
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. I’m off to a wedding tonight so I’ll be gettin’ my dance on. All night. Yeah.

Cool Tank

This top is my favorite top to work out in. It’s REALLY light which awesome when it’s a billion degrees out (or when it’s a billion degrees in your gym/house/garage/wherever you work out). It breathes easy, it looks great, and it’s Lululemon but don’t even trip, it’s not $1,000.

Only $39, people!
I have it in 4 different colors because it looks so great on.
With a blazer, or on your run!
Booyah.

Guest Post! Miss B and Hustle

Hi! I’m Krissy, one half of Miss B and Hustle. I’m sooo honored to be asked to guest post on Fit with Flash! I’m a Cali girl living in rainy Portland (which I love 99% of the time) and until this past year, working out has been low on my list of priorities. I could just never motivate, but I think the key is finding something that works for you! I’m 100% addicted to Portland based barre3 and Corepower Yoga! I thought I’d share a few of my workout essentials!

  1. Lululemon pants. You can try other brands for slightly less $$, but you’ll always come back to your Lulu’s! There’s truly nothing better.
  2. I love using a natural deodorant when I do yoga because it washes off easily in the shower afterwards. I loooove Weleda’s spray deodorant in Wild Rose.
  3. Confession: I don’t always buy high-end sports bras. I really love Champion for Target’s neon colors and when I need more support, I layer two different colors!
  4. I used to buy running walking shoes based on how they matched my clothes, but recently I went to the Portland Running Co. and had them watch me on a treadmill and make a recommendation and I couldn’t be happier with the fit! (They still match my outfit!)
  5. I always keep a bottle of coconut water in my car, along with a few Larabars just so I’m not starving/dehydrated after class!

Thanks, Krissy! Now everybody go check out Miss B and Hustle! : ) Happy Thursday, Friday’s almost here!

Lulu Gift to Myself… thanks to Scripps Peeps!

So my Scripps peeps sent me away from California with a lovely gift card from a company that I have had a very close relationship with for about the last 3 years: Lululemon Athletica

Haven’t heard of lululemon? They’re amazing! They’re a fitness wear company based out of Vancouver and have the BEST clothes for active people. Doesn’t matter if you do yoga once a week, like hiking, or spend your entire day teaching fitness, they have what you need.

My friend, Krissy just did a blog post on Lulu a couple weeks ago with way more details. Check it out at Miss B and Hustle and be sure to follow her blog, it’s fabulous!

I’ll admit, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but if you are very active, their stuff is COMPLETELY worth it. Very flattering (unlike most Women’s fitness wear) and highly effective at sweat-wicking. They sport the bet fabrics for all their clothes. You should check it out. See me here and here and here.
AND they have a sale section on their website…check out the “we made too much” column on the left side of the page to score some discounts! About half of my wardrobe is now lulu as a lot of their stuff can double as regular, everyday wear.

Anywho, I hadn’t been able to use my gift card since they don’t have a store in KY yet, so I decided to hop online and shop. Soooo happy I did! My package came yesterday and I sported my new blue top today! Early birthday present to myself (real b-day is tomorrow!)…
I also got this jacket (I’m aware that it’s a million degrees outside, but come winter, these things will be virtually impossible to get your hands on… they sell fast). I have two others. This one has a breathable back, zipper pockets to hold your keys or ipod, thumb holes on the sleeves, and even an extra cuff that folds over your hands to keep them warm while you run! GENIUS!

So thank you lululemon athletica for making such wonderful clothing for me. And finally, thanks to my Scripps Peeps at Campus Point who hooked me up with an awesome going away gift! I appreciate it and miss you guys!

Top Row: Pam, Nate, Danielle, Brad, Jacqui (sp?) Katya
Bottom Row: Tabatha, Lindsay Y, Me, Kathryn
Missing: too many to name and don’t want to forget anybody (Tab) : ) haha
