This video is right up there with the “Shit Girls Say” video. It’s hilarious and also completely true. I’m going to give credit to my man-friend for sending this to me… because he’s prefaced conversations before with “Now do you want me to help you with this… or just listen?” Good call, man-friend. Good call. Saves the hassle for everybody involved. ; )

I know I’m guilty of this as well. 
(though not to this degree…)

Video: TRX 30 Minute Circuit

Need a quickie? A quickie workout, I mean… I get asked for fast workouts quite often. This workout can be done in 30 minutes! It’s perfect for before/after work or on your lunch break.
First: Determine your level. 
  • Level 1 peeps are going to do 10 reps of each exercise
  • Level 2 peeps are gonna do 15 reps of each.
  • Level 3 (badass) peeps are going to rock 20 reps of each.
Second: Start the clock. 
I like to set the timer on my phone to go off at the 30 min mark. Change it up if you have more/less time to work with.
Third: Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
 Go through your # of reps of all 5 exercises, then repeat as many times as you can, with control, within your time frame. How many rounds can you complete?
Pro Tip: Don’t sacrifice good control for speed!
I did 3 rounds (plus a few lunges) of Level 3 in 30 minutes.
And was breathing hard

Things That Are My Jam This Week

We had this little event called THE KENTUCKY DERBY 
on Saturday. It was kinda fun. And I won $190. Woot! 
But I drank a lot of bourbon over that week… #feltthatforafewdays

Tango and I had some sah-weet evening walks.

This has always been one of my faves and I’ve never been

Hallway Dance Party

*Allow me to set the scene*
It’s Wednesday night.
Tamara is packing for a trip
and I just got home from doing hill sprints w/ Crystal
(hence me being a mess). 
I had One Direction in my head, as usual lately.
Since I’d been singing it, Tamara got it in her head. 
There was only one thing left to do at this point:
Turn it on 
and crank it up… 
(as much as you can on your computer)
…and then put my phone on record to catch the action. 
And a big shout-out to my girl,
Sophie!
I know she’s with me on this one! 
; ) 
Impromptu dance parties are a regular occurence in this household. 
We like fun music. We like to dance. The dogs like to join.

I’m presenting at a fitness conference in Chicago this weekend!

Fun fact: Just kidding on this last photo. Condoms are actually used as a cover
for our microphone packs! When you clip the mic pack on your pants/top 
it can get sweaty and short out. Slip a condom on, that doesn’t happen, and your mic keeps going strong!
Now you have some sweet fitness instructor facts : )

Exercise VLOG! Push Up Edition

I promised I’d do exercise videos this year, at least one per month…
I’m barely making it under the wire here, 
but it’s STILL January! 
Why are pushups important?
Because they’re perfect for getting strong arms, chest, and core, especially for us chicks.

Almost every female client of mine wants to get rid of arm flab, flatten up their bellies, and get sexy shoulders. Pushups do ALL of those, you don’t need any equipment, and the more you practice them, the better you get. Unfortunately for women, we’re not blessed with natural upper body strength. The fellas got that one. We, however, have natural lower body strength, which is why most females tend to focus on that at the gym. 

Here’s my first VLOG on how to progress into full push-ups, 
not just the modified kind on your knees. 

When you can complete the level consistently, 
(10-15 reps no problem) without sagging at the hips, 
then it’s time to progress to the next level!

I used Photo Booth for the video, uploaded to Vimeo but the audio didn’t sync with the video… so had to go back to just the reg version, which I can’t seem to make bigger. #rookiemistakes who knows how to fix this ish?
