Date Night

So my husband and I love date nights. Any excuse to get dressed up and get out on the town is good for us. This one was our first in Louisville!

From Drop Box

We decided to try out the Italian restaurant, Le Gallo Rosso for dinner. This place is really cute and doubles as a Bed and Breakfast.
Then walked over to Highland Coffee for some caffeine and games!
Speed Scrabble is one of our faves.

I won ; )

Scripps Peeps

As promised, here are some of the photos of my last week in San Diego. Each day I’ll put up a few more until they’re all up. : )

Since Norma has already called me out about not posting them yet, Scripps: Sorrento Valley can go first! (Sorry, cord to the camera was lost among the many boxes in the basement).

This is the group: (minus a few peeps…)

And congrats to Kim! She beat out everybody in the last fitness challenge. She attended 22 classes in my last 3 weeks! Go Kim! Rasa, you were awesome too with your 20 classes!

I miss you guys! Keep rockin’ it out for me!

I just got the most wonderful email from a former class participant in San Diego. She had been attending fitness classes and working out so she would be able to fit into her wedding dress and look great for her wedding day and it worked! She sent me the photos to prove it! How gorgeous is she?

Go Jennifer! So proud.

Miss you, Scripps peeps!

Nutritionally Confused…

As a trainer, I get asked a ton of nutrition questions.

Two of my favorites: Are sports drinks good or bad? Is eating eggs good or bad?

Well… it depends. Here are two videos (via the Fitness Anywhere Community Blog) from one of the top nutrition experts in the world: John Berardi and his company, Precision Nutrition. Watch both and it may clear things up a bit for you.

The first video deals with the first question:
This video pertains to the second question:
Watch as many of these videos as you can! You can get a ton of great information at Precision Nutrition and from the Fitness Anywhere Community blog! And remember to keep in mind that your training level can determine how much or how little you may need certain foods/drinks.

Happy Eating, Happy Training!
