Book Buzz: Notorious RBG – The Life & Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg

I love reading the life stories of amazing women and this one may have just sauntered it’s way to the top of my faves list. 

Gah. This book was delightful. It came out at the end of October and immediately sold out of hard copies and shot to the top of the New York Times Bestseller list. I was only able to purchase the Kindle edition but now more copies are available so I think I’ll buy a hard copy to put on my desk. (Next month when I can buy a “thing” again… as per my 2016 goal list.)

I wanted to get this post out immediately in case anybody else was looking for a good book for this weekend. I wish I could purchase about 15 copies of it right now. As I was reading it I was thinking of all the amazing women I know who love RBG, and all the others that would learn who she is and why she’s so badass.

I want to tell you all the things I loved about her story, but then this post would literally turn into her timeline and the book is just so much better than this post. So enjoy some of my favorite RBG memes and quotes below, then go purchase this book for yourself. And a badass girlfriend.

When she was a young working mother other women used to try to guilt her for not staying at home. Once her daughter got into some household cleaner and people asked her if she was upset that she’d been working instead of at home. She responded by saying the only thing that was upsetting was the fact that the cleaning liquid had been placed within the reach of the child.
