Workout Playlist! Throwback Hip Hop

So the best thing has happened to radio here in Louisville, KY and it’s known as Old School 105.1. On Monday morning I saw about 5 Facebook posts about it and each day there have been more and more. With each song that comes on we’ve all been immediately transported back to middle school, spring break, senior prom, etc … Basically, if you’re between the ages of 28 and 40, you’re stoked. So tomorrow’s workout playlist has been inspired by the greatness that is the new 105.1.

 

So much to choose from, but these made first cut.
I have a feeling this is Version 1 of many…

Workout Playlist! “Boy” Music

Working out with my man-friend is great, but we don’t always agree on what we listen to while we train. My playlists are more “dance party ” while his tend to be more “let’s destroy things.” And while I’m pretty open to all types of music, there’s usually always some Beyonce, Lady Gaga, or  Pink in my mixes that I’m sure that he, and the guys in my bootcamp, would be happy to hear less of… So here’s my go at a male-friendly playlist for the fellas! We’ll see if it gets my man-friend’s stamp of approval in our next session.

Notes: *My workout playlist consists of music that makes me wanna shake it… for an hour. *It has Iggy A, Taylor Swift, and Kanye all cozied up together. *Loving the first song, by Charli XCX. *My boyfriend, Lenny Kravitz has a new album out,as does Jennifer Hudson, who apparently is now going by “J-Hud”… which is interesting. *I don’t think I’ll ever make a playlist that doesn’t have Beyonce on it somewhere…
