I’ve flown through London’s Heathrow airport several times but had never actually been out into the city… which is what compelled me to accompany my man-friend on his work trip to London in the first place. We had one day to play tourists in the city and I think we managed to rock it out successfully.
Double-decker bus ride. Check.
{Front row, top level. #bitches} I was a little more excited than he was…
Check in to our fancy hotel at Hyde Park. Check.
Side note: This bed is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever laid down on. And I’ve visited hotels all over the world. London Marriott Hotel Park Lane, well done. Well done.
Tube ride. Check.
“Mind The Gap” = Pay attention, you idiots. If you fall between the train and the landing it’s your own fault.
Tower of London. Check.
Continue our tradition of making out in front of historic landmarks. Check.
Buckingham Palace. Check.
We made a mad dash back to the room to shower before meeting our friends for dinner. This is us trying desperately not to succumb to the idea of room service and a movie in our hotel room… Can I get an amen for hotel bath robes?!
And ending the day with a lovely dinner at The Troubador in Earl’s Court.
Almost forgot a photo with the famous red phone booth but was able to snag one on the way to the airport the following morning. So long, London!
London tourist ish. Check.
Now for another visit so I can actually spend time there and see the city and countryside… Next time.
